COMMUNITY TIME OFF (CTO)
Texas Health’s Community Time Off (CTO) program gives you the opportunity to receive pay for up to one scheduled workday, to volunteer and participate in an entity, system, or local community outreach project sponsored by another non-profit organization.
AM I ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE?
You are eligible as a full-time employee (30-40 hours per week) or a part-time employee (24-29 hours per week). Your CTO must be approved by your manager.
HOW DO I PARTICIPATE?
- Log on here to the employee volunteer portal
- Review the CTO Policy and program guidelines
- Joining an existing CTO project or creating your own
- After you volunteer, report CTO hours on your timekeeping website before the next payroll deadline.
Please receive permission from your manager before submitting a new CTO project request or joining an existing CTO project at least two weeks in advance.

You get paid to volunteer for up to one regularly scheduled workday per calendar year! Volunteerism supports Texas Health’s mission to improve the health of the people in the communities we serve. Texas Health partners with area non-profit organizations to help you fulfill your passions in the community.
