ID Cards in 2023

Find out if you should be on the lookout for a new ID card soon for 2023 benefits.

Medical: Quantum Health or UnitedHealthcare

  • If you changed medical plans or added/removed dependents for 2023, you will receive a new ID card prior to Jan. 1.
    • You can access electronic cards online through the vendor’s website on January 1. For more information, click here.

Prescription Drug: Caremark

  • ID cards will be sent by Jan. 1 if you added or removed dependents to coverage for 2023
  • If you changed plans for 2023, you will receive a new ID card.

Health Savings Account: Health Equity

  • If you enrolled in a Health Savings Account for the first time, you will receive your debit card by Jan. 1.
  • If you had a Health Savings Account in 2022 and re-elected it for 2023, your 2023 contributions will be loaded to your current card (meaning you don’t get a new card for 2023).

Dental: Aetna

  • You do not need a member ID card to get care with Aetna Dental. When you go to your dentist, just tell the office your coverage is through Aetna, your name, date of birth, and Member ID# (or your social security number).
    • If you would prefer to have a card, you may print one at aetna.com.

Vision: Superior Vision by MetLife

  • All employees enrolled in Superior Vision by MetLife will receive a new card by Jan. 1.

Health Care Flexible Spending Accounts: Health Equity/Wage Works

  • If you enrolled in a Health Care Flexible Spending Account for the first time, you will receive your debit card by Jan. 1.
    • Please carefully check your mail—this card will arrive in unmarked envelope and can easily be mistaken for junk mail.
  • If you were enrolled in a Health Care Flexible Spending Account in 2022 and re-elected it for 2023, your 2023 contributions will be loaded to your current card (meaning you don’t get a new card for 2023).
